Steff moves on to pastures new

POPULAR Steff Duck bid farewell to her beloved job as clubhouse manager at Fort William football club as the season kicked off on Saturday.

In a short presentati­on at the side of the pitch at Claggan park on Saturday afternoon, director Gerald MacIntyre thanked Steff for her services and wished her well.

Steff was skilled behind the bar, the kitchen and took on everything in between. She is well-known and loved for her cooking at the home games.

Mr MacIntyre said: ‘We are going to miss you at the club, and we will especially miss your potato wedges.’

Grandmothe­r of three Steff has left for a more permanent position elsewhere. She said: ‘I’m sad to leave. I love it here, but this is seasonal and I am going to do something that is more practical for me.’

Players, managers and members applauded Steff as she was presented with a bouquet of flowers.
