St­eff moves on to pas­tures new

POP­U­LAR St­eff Duck bid farewell to her beloved job as club­house man­ager at Fort Wil­liam football club as the sea­son kicked off on Satur­day.

In a short pre­sen­ta­tion at the side of the pitch at Clag­gan park on Satur­day af­ter­noon, di­rec­tor Gerald MacIn­tyre thanked St­eff for her ser­vices and wished her well.

St­eff was skilled be­hind the bar, the kitchen and took on ev­ery­thing in be­tween. She is well-known and loved for her cook­ing at the home games.

Mr MacIn­tyre said: ‘We are go­ing to miss you at the club, and we will es­pe­cially miss your potato wedges.’

Grand­mother of three St­eff has left for a more per­ma­nent po­si­tion else­where. She said: ‘I’m sad to leave. I love it here, but this is sea­sonal and I am go­ing to do some­thing that is more prac­ti­cal for me.’

Play­ers, man­agers and mem­bers ap­plauded St­eff as she was pre­sented with a bou­quet of flow­ers.
