Fort lose to Lossie
Lossiemouth Fort William Highland League
FORT William suffered another loss at the weekend, despite playing well in the second half.
The team were away at Lossiemouth and were disappointed at the 2-1 defeat after their first victory of the season against Deveronvale the previous weekend.
Already two goals down, Fort striker John McLeod fired the ball in to the net in the second half, but it was not enough to turn the game around.
Determined, the side continued to try to get a goal back and battled until the final whistle but alas they couldn’t get that elusive equaliser and lost by the odd goal in three.
This Saturday Fort William will travel to take on bottom of the table Rothes at MacKessack Park. The game kicks- off at 3pm.
Rothes were on the wrong end of a 9- 0 scoreline against a rampant Formartine United at the weekend, so Fort William will be confident they can get a result at the shell-shocked Speysiders.
The last three encounters between the teams have provided one win apiece and supplied an astonishing 17, so a cracking game is in prospect.
