Fond farewell to happy face behind good news store

-

AN OBAN woman who always delivered a good news service despite the headlines has retired after 27 years’ service.

Tina Cotton, who left Oban’s Albany Street newsagents last Friday, was showered with gifts from customers and colleagues for her many years of cheery service.

Tina said: ‘I’ve got four grandchildren with another on the way, so I’ll be on baby-sitting duty. I’m sad to be leaving and I will miss my customers terribly. I’d like to thank them. They’ve been so kind.’

Owner, Michael Wright, said: ‘She’s been serving families for generations. Children who were three years old when Tina started are now 30 with kids of their own. She really will be missed.’
