Loch Awe

-

A RENEWABLE engergy company has been refused permission for a 15-turbine wind farm at Ardchonnel, following an appeal.

Scottish government officials upheld last week an earlier ruling from Argyll and Bute council based mainly on landscape and visual impacts of the farm, planned by RWE Innogy UK.

The 45MW project was based on tip heights of 111 metres and hardware of up to 3MW.

The wind farm was planned for a site close to RWE’s An Suidhe site, above Loch Awe.
