Young hairdresser loses `brave fight’

-

THE FUNERAL of Kelly MacDonald was to be held yesterday (Wednesday) after she lost her battle with cancer.

Friends of the 29-year- old raised thousands of pounds through a number of events, including a walk up Ben Nevis, to fund private health care for the Fort William hairdresser.

Kelly passed away last Wednesday (September 9) after what family members called a ‘brave and dignified fight’. It is thought the money raised will now be donated to local charities. The funeral was due to be held at St John’s RC church in Caol.
