The big story of the day in south shinty was the league title victory by COL GLEN.

In what is believed to be the Glendaruel-based club’s first league title of any kind, the they won south division two in style.

The Glen made the short journey last weekend across the Kyles of Bute to play local rivals Bute as they clinched the crown. Goals from Hamish Harrison (2), Connor Kennedy (3), Steven MacKellar (3) and a James Dunn own goal saw the Cowal club cruise to a 9-1 victory.

North Division Two

GLENGARRY travelled to take on Skye last weekend, but they retuned home on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline.
