Date for Great Glen school’s Sixes

THE date for the Shinty Shop Great Glen School’s Shinty Sixes has been set for Tuesday, September 22 at Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit with a 12 noon start.

Teams from across the Highlands are expected to take part in this event with Kingussie high school looking to defend their title. However, they will be up against stiff opposition from hosts Glen Urquhart high school and Charleston academy amongst others.

THE DATE for the Shinty Shop Great Glen school’s shinty sixes has been set for Tuesday September 22 at Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit with a 12 noon start.

Event organiser Allan MacLeod said: ‘This is a special year as the tournament as we mark 20 years since it was founded. Over the years the tournament has gone from strength to strength and is now a firm favourite in the school’s shinty calendar.’
