Flag lowered in memory of ex-councillor
THE FLAG of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar was flown at half-mast on Friday, in memory of a former councillor who died on the same day, aged 93.
Malcolm MacFarlane was a member of the local authority between 1986 and 1994 and served as chairman of the housing committee.
Norman MacDonald, comhairle convenor, said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family, particularly his wife Christina and their three daughters, Frances, Kate and Laura.’
