Easier to arrange woodland burials
ARRANGEMENTS have been put in place to make an environmental internment a real option in Argyll.
Woodland burials have become increasingly popular and are less formal than traditional burials.
Maintenance of these sites is in keeping with the natural woodland setting, with the grass cut only once a year and trees being planted around the graves to create a natural environment over time.
There are now two cemeteries which include specific woodland burial areas in Argyll: Pennyfuir in Oban and Carrick in Tarbert.
