A82 road repairs at Laggan Locks

A SECTION of the road between Fort William and Inverness is to benefit from £325,000 of resurfacing work.

One and a half kilometres of the A82, at Laggan Locks, will be improved in the investment by Transport Scotland. Work started on Monday and temporary traffic limits are in place between 7am and 7pm between Monday and Friday for the next two weeks. Traffic management will be removed outside of working hours, but a 30mph limit will remain.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s operating company representative for the north west, said: ‘ These essential works will improve the road surface at this section of the A82. Some delays are inevitable and we would therefore encourage motorists to plan their journey ahead, where possible.’
