Highland Cattle Society recruits new secretary
NEWLY-appointed Highland Cattle Society breed secretary, Sian Sharp, will be in Oban next month to meet society members.
Sian, of Cheeklaw Farm, Duns, comes to the society from an agricultural background with a wealth of administrative experience. Currently Sian is a partner in the family farm, which carries a pedigree Aberdeen Angus herd.
Sian will be starting in her new post at the beginning of October and will be present at the autumn Oban pedigree Highland sales to meet breeders and members of the society. There will be a two week handover period with the current secretary, Hazel Baxter, to ensure a smooth transition.
