Council land will be sold

FOLLOWING the demolition of three Argyll and Bute council owned properties on Lochside Street, Oban, vacant plots will be available to purchase, a councillor has said.

In response to a question by The Oban Times, Roddy McCuish said: ‘Because they were council buildings, the land had to go on the market.’

The eight Oban and Lorn councillors will have the final say as to what happens with the development.
