Memorial service for missing walker

THE FAMILY of a walker who has been missing in Lochaber for six weeks are to hold a memorial service as the search continues.

Robin Garton, 69, vanished while on a walking holiday in Glencoe and hasn’t been seen since September 25.

The memorial will be held in Mr Garton’s home town of Devizes, Wiltshire, on December 11. His son, Will Garton, said: ‘ The [rescue] team there say they are baffled. Normally they find people much more quickly than this. It’s a living nightmare. The not knowing is the worst thing imaginable.’
