Charity effort is up and running
OBAN half-marathon runner Nathalie Porter has thanked sponsors for donating £363 in aid of Parkinson’s UK, a charity which is helping to find a cure for and support sufferers of the degenerative nervous disorder.
Nathalie, who works at Eleanor’s hair salon in the town, raised the money from the Inverness half-marathon.
She said: ‘My granny had Parkinson’s, so it’s a charity close to my heart.’
Nathalie’s sister, Marsaili, also ran the 13-mile course alongside her, with friends and family cheering them en route.
