Man is fined £300

BANGING on his girlfriend’s door and threatening to break it down if she didn’t let him in cost an Oban fisherman a £ 300 fine at the town’s sheriff court.

Daniel Rudd Guy, 41, of Anandale, Longsdale Road, Oban, admitted behaving aggressively, and shouting and swearing outside her home on George Street on May 14.

Sheriff Ruth Anderson QC was told last week that the couple had a disagreement earlier in the evening, but were still together. Guy had been drinking, his defence agent said.
