Do you care for or have you cared for some­one with a can­cer di­ag­no­sis or other long term health con­di­tion? Are you sup­port­ing some­one go­ing through treat­ments?

For any­one af­fected by can­cer or other long term health con­di­tions, Oban Li­brary of­fers a one to one drop- in Macmil­lan Can­cer in­for­ma­tion and sup­port ser­vice on Wed­nes­days from 2.15pm to 4.15pm. Come and meet the team for a chat over a friendly cuppa.

There are al­ways book­lets on all as­pects of be­ing af­fected by can­cer, as well as re­sources for other long term health con­di­tions in the ded­i­cated area of the li­brary.

These are avail­able to take when­ever the li­brary is open. The team can help guide you through the re­sources avail­able. If you need in­for­ma­tion not on dis­play we can help source this for you. There is also a pri­vate room for more per­sonal dis­cus­sions.
