Oban High School traffic lights concern

Sir, I am grateful and wish to thank the councillor for raising the problems with the traffic lights at Oban High School at Kilmory.

It is very upsetting for parents to find that as a result of the lights not working properly their children arrive home from school in considerable discomfort and in distress having taken almost one hour to travel from Rockfield/St Columba’s Joint Campus to their destination in the town’s George Street.

I hope this has now been rectified and that a better traffic flow system allowing pupils to reach and depart from Oban High School will be in place on completion of the new high school building.
