Comic Fred’s game for a laugh with new tour dates

-

FRED MacAulay will be undertaking a Wee Tour of Scotland in July.

After almost 18 years as a BBC Radio Scotland morning programme presenter, Fred is returning to stand-up comedy, which he has been doing for almost 30 years.

There are 18 tour dates including Fort William’s Nevis Centre on July 7 (01397 700707 to book) and Mull Theatre on July 8 (01688 302211to book) and a couple of dates on the Western Isles at the end of the month.

Audiences can expect a mix of politics and observational humour as well as some gags. Speaking about the tour, Fred said: ‘Like every other Scot, I’m blown away by the natural beauty of our country ... and what better time to travel than in summer. And if it does rain, at least it might be warm.’ A tour of this size round Scotland is likely to become a staple part of Fred’s future in stand-up, along with returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017. Only people aged 14+ are permitted at any of the tour dates and further details can be found at www.fredmacaulay.com.
