Schools to be lifesaving centres
THE Western Isles Council has agreed to provide life-saving equipment and training to schools across the area.
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will be the first local authority in Scotland to introduce emergency life support to the Curriculum for Excellence.
The council has pledged £30,000 toward the Lucky2BHere project, which will see defibrillators installed and training provided at all schools.
