Schools to be life­sav­ing cen­tres

THE Western Isles Coun­cil has agreed to pro­vide life-sav­ing equip­ment and train­ing to schools across the area.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will be the first lo­cal author­ity in Scot­land to in­tro­duce emer­gency life sup­port to the Cur­ricu­lum for Ex­cel­lence.

The coun­cil has pledged £30,000 to­ward the Luck­y2BHere pro­ject, which will see de­fib­ril­la­tors in­stalled and train­ing pro­vided at all schools.
