Caberfeidh 0 Kinlochshiel 6 Marine Harvest Premiership side Kinlochshiel are through to the Camanachd Cup quarterfinals after they beat Caberfeidh from the Marine Harvest National Division 6- 0 in their 1pm throw up at Castle Leod.

Kinlochshiel were in no mood for an upset and they went ahead after just three minutes when Jordan Fraser crossed the ball to the back post and Keith MacRae’s first-time shot flew into the top corner of the net.

The Kirkton side doubled their lead on 12 minutes when Jordan Fraser got the ball on the edge of the D and he beat the keeper with a firm finish.

Referee Martin MacLean

spotted an infringement inside the D on 23 minutes and he pointed to the penalty spot. John MacRae made no mistake with the spot-hit.

A John MacRae tap-in on 36 minutes made it 4- 0 at the break and there was only going to be one winner.

Keith MacRae got his second on 75 minutes when he followed up on a rebound and he tucked the ball away to make it 5- 0.

Duncan “DA” MacRae completed the scoring when he turned and lashed the ball home to make it 6- 0 on 86 minutes.

Kinlochshiel will now host Marine Harvest National Division side Beauly at Kirkton in the Camanachd Cup quarter-finals in a tie scheduled for Saturday July 9.

This will be a first match against his former club for ’Shiel defender Conor Cormack.
