Caber­feidh 0 Kin­lochshiel 6 Marine Har­vest Premier­ship side Kin­lochshiel are through to the Ca­manachd Cup quar­ter­fi­nals af­ter they beat Caber­feidh from the Marine Har­vest Na­tional Di­vi­sion 6- 0 in their 1pm throw up at Cas­tle Leod.

Kin­lochshiel were in no mood for an up­set and they went ahead af­ter just three min­utes when Jor­dan Fraser crossed the ball to the back post and Keith MacRae’s first-time shot flew into the top cor­ner of the net.

The Kirk­ton side dou­bled their lead on 12 min­utes when Jor­dan Fraser got the ball on the edge of the D and he beat the keeper with a firm fin­ish.

spot­ted an in­fringe­ment in­side the D on 23 min­utes and he pointed to the penalty spot. John MacRae made no mis­take with the spot-hit.

A John MacRae tap-in on 36 min­utes made it 4- 0 at the break and there was only go­ing to be one win­ner.

Keith MacRae got his sec­ond on 75 min­utes when he fol­lowed up on a re­bound and he tucked the ball away to make it 5- 0.

Dun­can “DA” MacRae com­pleted the scor­ing when he turned and lashed the ball home to make it 6- 0 on 86 min­utes.

Kin­lochshiel will now host Marine Har­vest Na­tional Di­vi­sion side Beauly at Kirk­ton in the Ca­manachd Cup quar­ter-fi­nals in a tie sched­uled for Satur­day July 9.

This will be a first match against his for­mer club for ’Shiel de­fender Conor Cor­mack.
