Aberdeen University 5 Lewis Camanachd 2

Aberdeen University went four points clear at the top of the table after they beat Lewis Camanachd 5-2 in their 1pm throw up at Balgate.

This was the students’ home match but the travel distance between the two clubs means they have each agreed to play their home games at half-way locations for a few years now.

Two goals from Stuart Cameron and an Alex Duncan hat-trick won the day, with Will Church netting twice for a hard-working Lewis side.

Aberdeen are now four points ahead of second placed Lochcarron although the Battery Park side have a game in hand.

Boleskine 2 Kilmallie 4

The Kilmallie second team beat Boleskine 4-2 in their 1pm throw up at Smith Park.

Kilmallie came quickly out of the blocks and Craig MacIsaac on seven minutes and Brian MacKay on 10 minutes had them 2- 0 ahead.

Reece Munro halved the deficit on the half-hour mark but a second Brian MacKay goal on the stroke of half-time made it 3-1 at the break.

Innes Blackhall made it 4-1 on 68 minutes and, although Keith Nicolson pulled another goal back on 75 minutes, Kilmallie took the spoils.

The win means Kilmallie leapfrog Boleskine into sixth place in the table and they have games in hand on the teams above them.
