Death of climber is confirmed

POLICE Scotland has confirmed the death of a man who was climbing in the Cairngorm area.

Officers received a call of an injured climber on Coire an Lochain at approximately 10.20am on Wednesday June 8.

The man was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious injuries and sadly died shortly after arrival.
