Bag­gage stolen

PO­LICE in Oban are study­ing CCTV footage to try to trace the thief who stole a red ruck­sack and a green holdall from out­side the CalMac of­fices in the town. The thefts hap­pened on Thurs­day June 9 at around 5am.

Car tar­geted

DOOR-TO- DOOR in­quiries are con­tin­u­ing in Dal­mally af­ter some­one smashed the rear win­dow of a car in Scott Ter­race be­tween 1pm and 9pm on Wed­nes­day June 8.

The black Vaux­hall Corsa con­tained a set of golf clubs which were left in the ve­hi­cle, lead­ing po­lice be­lieve the sus­pect may have been dis­turbed.

Bo­gus call­ers alert

OF­FI­CERS are warn­ing res­i­dents of Dun­beg to be on the alert for pos­si­ble bo­gus call­ers.

A num­ber of vil­lagers re­ported see­ing a blue panel van with around five peo­ple in it in the area and sev­eral lo­cals re­ported be­ing vis­ited by strangers pur­port­ing to sell items such as plants.

Van­dals strike

TWO cars in Tober­mory have been dam­aged by van­dals.

In one in­ci­dent, a blue Audi A3 parked in Ledaig car park was found with three-foot-long scratch. It is thought to have been dam­aged be­tween 6pm on June 7 and 1pm on June 9.

In the other in­ci­dent, a sil­ver Saab was van­dalised while in Main Street be­tween 7pm on June 8 and 11am on June 9.

Any­one with any in­for­ma­tion about any of th­ese in­ci­dents is asked to call po­lice on 101.
