Refugees bound for Stornoway

WESTERN Isles council has confirmed the first Syrian refugees will be arriving in the Hebrides this summer.

Current plans will see two related families housed in Stornoway. Comhairle leader Angus Campbell said: ‘I am confident as a community we will be welcoming and compassionate.’
