Ballachulish

STAFF at Abbeyfield care home have been celebrating 10 years of service.

Seven staff at the Ballachulish home received awards at a ceremony last month, for more than 10 years’ service, showing their level of commitment and dedication to this charity-run care home.

As part of the staff development at Abbeyfield, they have been working closely with the University of Stirling and their Dementia Ser- vices Development Centre. Thirteen staff have completed the Best Practice in Dementia Care Learning Programme in 2016.

The awards, which were supported by local Councillor Thomas MacLennan, were presented by Trustees David Thompson and Elaine Lang.

Manager Wilma Allan said ‘The high standards at Abbeyfield could not happen without the hard work of our team.’
