Rescue dog alerts owner’s broken leg

A RECENTLY retired rescue dog from Oban Mountain Rescue was part of an emergency rescue when his owner fell on the beach at Fionnphort shortly after 3pm on Saturday June 18.

A Coastguard helicopter was called by the casualty himself and it took the man for medical assistance.

The dog was on hand at all times and helped alert services to the man’s location.
