Three drivers all lose licences

THREE people were banned from driving in separate cases on Tuesday.

Catherine Smith, 48, of Grampian Court, Irvine, was caught the morning after a drinking session and found to have 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath when the limit is 22. Smith, a self- employed delivery driver, was caught speeding near Appin on May 7, 2015. She was disqualifi­ed from driving for 15 months and fined £200.

Mary MacDougall, 55, Morvern Hill, Oban, was found in Soroba Road seven times the limit with 154 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath on March 10, 2016. MacDougall was disqualifi­ed for two years and given two months to pay a £500 fine.

William Reid, 28, of Lora View, North Connel, was stopped by police in Tyndrum on April 21, 2016. Reid was found to have 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath, almost four times the limit. Reid was disqualifi­ed for two years and fined £500.
