Pupils mark day of school grad­u­a­tions

BUN-SGOIL Gàidhlig Loch Abar cel­e­brated two of its classes mov­ing on to their next stages last Thurs­day (June 30).

The school held a spe­cial assem­bly to mark the grad­u­a­tion of its first nurs­ery class, or Sgoil-àraich, whose pupils will move up to class one after the hol­i­day.

At the same time, staff and pupils took the op­por­tu­nity to for­mally say good­bye to the C7 class who will be start­ing at Lochaber High School.

Head teacher John-Joseph MacNeil said: ‘ We had a lovely morn­ing cel­e­brat­ing our chil­dren in sgoil-àraich grad­u­at­ing as well as cel­e­brat­ing the many suc­cesses and achieve­ments of our chil­dren and school com­mu­nity.

‘It was also an op­por­tu­nity for us to wish our C7 all the very best as they move onto Lochaber high school. It has been an amaz­ing first year for us here at Bun- Sgoil Gàidhlig Loch Abar. We thank all our staff, par­ents, fam­i­lies, mem­bers of the com­mu­nity and our part­ners far and wide for their con­tin­ued sup­port.’
