Lucky escape

A 19-YEAR- OLD Irishman had a lucky escape when he fell from Oban’s North Pier in the early hours of Sunday morning. Instead of falling into the water, the youngster fell onto the beach because the tide was out. The man was said to have been intoxicated.

He was treated at Lorn and Islands hospital and was later discharged.
