Escape to the sun with Elixir of Love

SCOTTISH Opera’s new production of Donizetti’s sunny comedy The Elixir of

Love comes to the Corran Halls in Oban on Thursday October 20, on its round-Scotland tour.

The company’s musical director Stuart Stratford said: ‘ The Elixir of Love is full of fantastic melodies, a witty plot and it is shot through with a bolt of Italian sunshine that permeates all of the music.’

Director Oliver Platt added: ‘ Elixir offers a joyous couple of hours of escape. It is the perfect opera: boisterous, funfilled and fast-paced, with the ideal mixture of comedy and romance.’
