School talk is the bees knees
LOCHABER Bee-keeping Society created a buzz at its talk in Spean Bridge recently.
Representatives from the group, which was set up around 1968, visited the primary school last month.
Sarah Kennedy said: ‘ The talk was carried out by myself and Alison. It was great to see the reaction of the children to seeing the actual bees and there were lots of questions!
’ We talked a bit about the group – we have 53 members throughout Lochaber – the important times of the year and what we can do to help honey bees – for example having a wild area in our gardens.’
