Affordable flats to be ready in March

NEW flats on Fort William’s High Street are starting to take shape.

Noticeable progress is being made on the 22 Tweedale flats that will be available for affordable rent by the council next year.

A Highland Council spokeswoman said: ‘ The completion date is due to be March 2017.

‘ The flats will be a mixture of one and two bedrooms and we have not yet made any allocations. Anyone interested needs to make sure they are on the Highland Housing Register.

‘ We will be starting to allocate the homes just before the completion date so people will be able to move in as soon as possible after the work is completed.’
