Electrical storm strikes over Oban

AN ELECTRICAL storm lit up the skies of Oban in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The ferocious sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning could be seen and heard throughout the night.

This came after Tuesday was recorded as being the hottest day of the year in Scotland.

A number of people braved the conditions to capture the event on camera and inundated social media with pictures and videos.
