Oban eateries on cloud nine

NINE Oban establishments have been shortlisted for prestigious national awards.

Food Awards Scotland 2016 aim to recognise the hard work and efforts of the Scottish food industry.

The Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant and Hawthorn Restaurant, Benderloch, were shortlisted for Restaurant of the Year.

Abbie’s Café, Oban Chocolate Company and The Little Potting Shed are all in the running to become cafe/bistro of the year.

Oban Fish and Chip Shop was nominated for takeaway of the year and the Barn Bar was nominated for gastro pub of the year.

The Manor House could be the hotel restaurant of the year and JM Breckenridge was shortlisted in the fresh produce provider of the year category.
