David’s winning ways at Arisaig games
FORT William’s David Hart came out on top at the 80th Arisaig Highland Games and Clan Ranald Gathering, taking home a number of first prizes and three trophies.
David won the 22lb shotput competition, throwing weight for distance, the hammer throw, the caber toss and weight over the bar.
He fought off stiff competition in the open events to take home the Arisaig Games, Allan MacDonald and Creag Mhor Caber trophies. David also took home the Whitehead trophy after winning all the local heavyweight events.
The sun came out for the afternoon events and more than 2,000 visitors from all over the world turned out to watch the games last Wednesday, July 27.
