Work starts on affordable homes

WORK has started on a £1.6 million project to transform a former medical centre in Fort William into rented homes.

The Highland Council has teamed up with Lochaber Housing Association (LHA) to provide 13 new affordable houses on the site of the former Belhaven Ward.

Five wheelchair-accessible bungalows will be rented to tenants by the Highland Council, while LHA will rent out eight flats.
