Inveraray band is Scotland’s best

MORE than 25,000 people made their way to Levengrove Park in Dumbarton to witness Inveraray and District Pipe Band win the Grade 1 title at this year’s Scottish Championships.

Pipe Major Stuart Liddell led the band to its second title of the season, after winning the British Championships in May.

Inveraray wasn’t the only Argyll and Bute band to achieve success last week as Kintyre Schools Pipe Band was crowned winner in the Scottish Novice B category.
