ARGYLL-BASED seafood producer Loch Fyne Oysters is set to scale new heights.

Next Friday, August 12, the Loch Fyne Oysters challenge team will take on the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in the national Three Peaks Challenge.

In 24 hours, and without any sleep, the team will climb Mount Snowdon in Wales (1,085m), Scafell Pike, in England (978m) and Ben Nevis (1,345m) to raise funds for The Pink Ladies Day, Argyll. The group will have to complete Ben Nevis in five hours, Scafell Pike in four hours and Snowdon in four hours, allowing for 11 hours driving time.

The Pink Ladies Day is about women in the west coast of Scotland who have or have had breast cancer. It’s a day of fun, pampering, food and drink along with the opportunity to develop friendships.

Martyn Paterson, a director at Loch Fyne Oysters, said: ‘ We are absolutely delighted to be making such a positive contribution to our local community through fundraising for these inspirational women.

‘The Loch Fyne team has been in training for several months and are looking forward to the challenge.’

Founder and organiser of the Pink Ladies Day Nicky Murphy added: ‘We have been blown away by this amazing gesture from the team at Loch Fyne Oysters.

‘It is incredible to think so many people are putting in this level of time and effort to make this happen.’
