Banavie coffee morning boosts cancer charity
AN ENTERPRISING effort by Banavie Primary School pupils raised £ 500 for charity.
Primary six pupils hosted a coffee morning at the school late last month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The students sent out invitations to friends and family and asked the whole school to contribute home-baking.
The youngsters also helped serve at the event, with boys wearing bow ties and girls wearing handcrafted headdresses.
A school spokesperson said: ‘It’s amazing what you can do with a bit of card and a little bit of lace. It was a great effort all round.’
