Islands event is hailed a success
A SPECIAL event that brought together Argyll and Bute’s islands communities was a real success.
Around 70 people attended Island Connections – organised by Argyll and Bute Council – which was held on Seil Island, to share best practice and learn how communities are addressing issues that can affect island life.
Delegates heard from the Scottish Government, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Ambulance Service, Health and Social Care Partnership, the Scottish Futures Trust and the council.
Speakers included the Mull and Iona Community Trust, Argyll and Bute Coast and Countryside Trust, Bute Island Alliance, and Ross of Mull and Iona Community Transport Scheme.
All the presentations will be made available on the council’s website.
