Councillors accused of sleeping on the job
A NUMBER of councillors were accused of falling asleep during Thursday’s packed public hearing. One objector at the hearing, Barbara Macfarlane, told The
Oban Times: ‘I do not believe in the validity of the decision, given that, during Maud Marshall’s presentation, three councillors were fast asleep.’
Another said: ‘It would help if they were awake. We pay these people to do this job.’
A third member of the public agreed: ‘It does not help when half of them are asleep. It shows the lack of calibre.’
