opportunit­y was snapped up by some thieves who broke into a property in Dunbeg between 6pm and 9pm on October 31.

The house in Lorn Drive was unlocked when thieves entered and took a number of items.

A 43-YEAR- OLD woman was arrested by officers after testing positive for alcohol in a breath sample when she caught the attention of officers who saw her driving in the Polviniste­r area of Oban. The woman, who was stopped at 5.15pm on Wednesday November 2, was reported to the procurator fiscal. A 28-YEAR- OLD man is alleged to have been driving at a speed of 57mph in a 30mph through the village of Lochawe.
