Tiree Gathering weekend approaches

AFTER a very successful Lewis/ Harris Gathering last weekend, everyone is now looking forward to the annual Tiree Gathering weekend beginning with a concert on Thursday November 17 in the Partick Burgh Hall.

Gordon Connell will be chairing the evening, with Ellen MacDonald, Calum Ross, Arthur Cormack and the Rowan Brothers all performing.

Trail West are providing the music for the dance on the Friday night. Gunna Sound will play in the Park Bar during the day and in the evening on the Saturday – a great tradition of the Tiree Gathering.

That night, I am going to be in the art school playing a show with my band, Tide Lines. Tickets for this gig sold out last week, which is hugely pleasing. It is going to be some weekend.
