A DOG died after becoming unwell on a walk at Fishnish, Isle of Mull, but after an extensive search police officers do not believe there is any foul play.
The dog became ill after walking in the forest with its owner and two other dogs. The pet was taken immediately to the vet on the island who diagnosed a number of conditions.
The dog was then taken home by its owner where it died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A police constable in conjunction with Forestry Commission Scotland searched the area for any signs of poison but nothing untoward was found. There are no reports of illness in other dogs. A 25-YEAR- OLD man has been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly possessing a class A drug on the Esplanade in Oban at 4.30pm on November 17. A 35-YEAR- OLD man has been reported to the procurator fiscal for an altercation that allegedly happened in a pub on Soroba Road, Oban, on Friday November 18. A DRIVER speeding at 78mph in a 50mph zone at Arrivain near Tyndrum on November 19 has been reported to the fiscal.
