Dancers ready to perform

-

THE Corran Halls will host this year’s Oban High School dance show, which is now in its 10th year.

Pupils have been preparing for the event since August, with the senior dance leaders put through their training in June.

A mixture of dance styles, including ballet, hip hop, contemporary and Highland will be included in the performances.

The Oban High School gymnastics squad and Ballet West Outreach will provide entertainment, as well as the sports leaders and teachers who will bring their own unique style.

Highland dancers of all ages are encouraged to come along and take part in the opening Highland fling. Dancers are asked to turn up half an hour before wearing kilts or something tartan.

Oban High School Pipe Band and primary dancers have also been working with dance leaders from the high school on a dance to be included in the show.

Tickets are available now from Oban High School priced £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Performances are on Wednesday January 25 at 7.30pm, Thursday January 26 at 12.15pm and Thursday night at 7.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased at the door if still available.
