Alice Ann Macpherson 50m breast stroke; Kayliegh Howden 100m back crawl; Millie Jackson 100m back and 100m fly; Aimee McKay 100m back and 200m IM.

Boys’ results were Alex Atkinson 50m breast, 50m fly and 100m IM; Evan Atkinson 100m breast, 100m front and 200m IM.

‘Our swimmers had a successful Highland schools championship where each of the swimmers represented their own schools. In total the club amassed 23 medals, nine of which were gold.’

Other highlights include the recent club championships which took place in December. Again there were many personal best swims, age group records and club records broken.

This event is the last event of the year where the Stevie Martin Trophy is awarded for the swimmer of the year. 2016 award-winners were Lyall Morris from Ardnamurchan High School and Evie-Jay Clark from Inverlochy Primary School.

2017 looks like an exciting time ahead for the swim team so if you are a parent of one of the swimmers, ‘a very warm welcome is extended to you to come along and get involved in the committee’.
