SPEAN Bridge Golf Club will hold its annual general meeting and awards presentati­on next month.

The event will take place on Saturday February 25 and will include a Texas scramble at 11am.

Refreshmen­ts, in the clubhouse, will be served between 1pm and 2pm, with the AGM and awards starting at 2pm. A LOOK back at the aluminium plant which is due for expansion will take place next week at the Lochaber Local History Society talk.

Mick Tighe will be speaking about the Fort William plant’s early constructi­on, illustrate­d by many newly discovered photograph­s. The talk has been prompted by the finding of many boxes of glass plate slides stored in the factory which have been painstakin­gly cleaned and reproduced.

A remembranc­e service will be held in St Mary’s Church, Glencoe, at 11am, followed by the march to the Massacre Cross at approximat­ely 11.45am. THE Music Shed Choir starts on Tuesday January 31 at 7.30pm in St Andrew’s Church Hall. New members are welcome. The only qualificat­ion is to enjoy singing.
