Business Gateway - inspiring women in Argyll
Over 20% of Scottish small to medium sized enterprises are majority owned by women. If the numbers of women led businesses were to increase to equal those led by men it would grow the Scottish economy by at least 5% (£7.6 billion).
Women represent nearly a third of entrepreneurs around the world, and this number is expected to keep on growing. Women in the UK are more likely to use the forms of business support available from government bodies, professional services and banks.
Business Gateway offer free confidential advice to anyone looking to start a business or has plans to grow their existing business.
Further to the successful ‘ Women in Business’ discussion panel, hosted during Argyll Enterprise Week in October 2016, there will be a “Ladies Let’s Talk” event at the Oban Bay Hotel on 8 February at 10am hosted by Victoria Ross, Royal Bank of Scotland. To register visit http://bit.ly/2kaO01p.
