Rising stars at D M MacKinnon Solicitors
I left Oban High School in 1985, gained an BA (Hons) in Design at Gray’s School of Art before qualifying as a teacher in Edinburgh. I taught for a couple of years then worked as a designer and latterly director of a UK jewellery company. To escape the relentless commuting, I then worked as office manager for an Architect/ Property Development Company before completing the accelerated Law Degree and Diploma in Legal Practice. I moved home in 2010 to work with a local firm before joining D M MacKinnon in 2014. I became a Partner in 2016 and specialise in residential and commercial property matters. I am a former pupil of Rockfield Primary School and Oban High School. After obtaining an MA (Hons) in English Language, I then completed the accelerated Law Degree, both at the University of Glasgow This was followed by the Diploma in Legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law. I returned to Oban and joined D M MacKinnon in 2010 after working for three years in a commercial firm in Glasgow where I specialised in employment law. I became a partner in D M MacKinnon in 2016 and my work currently focuses mainly on employment law and all aspects of conveyancing.
