Thefts after cars are left unsecured

-

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a series of petty thefts from cars in the Balvicar area on the Isle of Seil before Christmas.

PC Jeremy Moore informed Seil Community Council last Tuesday that ‘all of the vehicles were insecure and in some cases with the keys in the ignition. One of the vehicles also had a wallet in it.

‘ Vehicles left insecure and with the keys in are deemed uninsured, so the insurance company would not pay out.

‘Secondly, a wallet with all the owner’s personal details in it is extremely valuable.’

Anyone with information are invited to call 101.
